Facilities

Toilets & Showers

We know just how important a clean toilet block is to our users and through regular cleaning, we aim to keep our standard as high as possible.

We have a current programme of upgrading our toilet blocks and adding additional blocks.

Visiting groups are also asked to help with the cleaning by keeping the facilities as tidy as possible.

Telephone

There is no public phone available at Nine Ashes. Mobile phone reception is usually obtainable throughout the site.

We can provide a phone charging service.

Car Parking

The car park is situated in front of the main building, drivers are asked to park in such a way to avoid blocking other campers and to allow emergency access.

Please ensure all vehicles are logged with reception upon arrival (reg. number, driver, group, site etc).

No Vehicles are allowed on the field - if campers have equipment in trailers we would be happy to assist and move these to your site for you.

Water Taps

Each of the camp sites have taps attached to them with simple soak-a-ways.

Please do not pour food waste down these soak-a-ways.

We also ask groups to use water wisely as we are on a water meter.

Wood Fires

Being a camp sited situated within 25 acres of natural ancient woodland, there is ample timber suitable for fires just lying around on the ground.

We have a central wood pile near the entrance to the playground area.

Fires are permitted but only on raised alter fires (available free from reception).

We care for our forest, please do not bark, cut or fell any standing timber.

No Axes, Saws or fires allowed in the woods.

Camp Fire Circle

We have a large camp fire circle area with ample seating built around.

The camp fire circle is available free of charge to groups but must be booked in advance.

Outdoor Chapel

Our outdoor chapel is located in the woods and available to all site users.

Woodland Playground area

Our woodland play area includes a tree house, climbing frame and various swings.

It is advised that all groups are supervised by a leader whilst using the playground.

Internet Access

We have wireless access covering the main building, car park, reception and a small part of the camp area which you are able to use for a very small weekly charge.

Simply bring your laptop along to reception with a wireless network card to access the internet.

Dogs

In the interests of health & safety, we are sorry but dogs are not generally allowed on-site unless authorised by the Centre Manager in advance.
